Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission

Group 1 Examination

Preliminary Examination:

The APPSC prelims exam is a screening test which is performed to select the aspirants for the next stage of exam. The exam consists of one objective type. Qualifying marks will be given for reservation candidates as per the rules.

Main’s Examination:

Candidates who qualified in prelims will go to 2nd stage. Main examination which contains five papers with degree standard syllabus. The General English paper is of qualifying one and its marks are not counted for final ranking. All the question papers except General English may be answered either in English or Telugu or Urdu chosen by the candidate. Minimum qualifying marks will be given for reservation candidates as per the rules.

Personal Interview/Oral Test:

Candidates who appeared and found eligible in Mains exam will be called for Interview which carries 75 marks. In this Interview, the board will test the candidate’s attitude and decision making skills.

Written Examination: 

  • Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) conducts Group 2 examination as per their rules.
  • The exam consist objective type questions.
  • Time for every paper is Two and Half Hours (2 1/2 Hrs.)
  • The duration of exam is 150 Minutes

Selection Process:

The selection of the candidates is based on three steps. Screening test. After that, shortlisted candidates need to go for written test. Those who are successfully, qualify after theses rounds they can be called for Interview/ Document Verification. In this procedure candidates have to bring Original documents and other particulars.
